Box Score BOONE, NC --- The Howard men's soccer team opened its 2015 Sun Belt Conference schedule on Saturday evening with a 2-0 loss to the Appalachian State University Mountaineers at the Appalachian Soccer Complex.

The Bison (0-11-2, 0-1 SBC) struggled mightily against App State (5-5, 1-1 SBC), registering only one second-half shot in the game and allowing its largest shot differential of the season (19-1).

Graduate goalkeeper Sam Howard was able to make three saves in the contest despite the loss.

Howard will return to DC to host the "Battle of the Bison" against Bucknell University on Tuesday, October 13 at 3 p.m. at Greene Stadium.
