RESULTSWASHINGTON, DC --- The sibling duo of freshman
Danielle Brown and senior
Dexter Brown combined for three victories and five other swimmers bested six of their personal records for the Howard swimming and diving teams in their final home meet of the season against Division III District neighbor Catholic University on Thursday evening.
Natives of Houston, TX, Danni & Dexter placed first in the Women's 200 Yard Freestyle, Women's 200 Yard Butterfly and the Men's 100 Yard Breaststroke.
Danni took the Freestyle event with a time of 2:01.04, over a second faster than CUA's Christine Loughery. She was more dominant in the Butterly, posting a time of 2:16.21 and beating Catholic's Laurie Wei by over eight seconds.
Dexter found himself in a closer battle during the Breaststroke event. With CUA's Luke Granelli swimming side-by-side (and having his time listed as an exhibition), Brown (1:02.93) edged out Granelli (1:03.06) in the end.
The personal marks set during the meet included:
- Sydney Cooper: 100 Yard Breastroke (1:15.42) and 50 Yard Freestyle (26.54)- Martino Wilkerson: 100 Yard Freestyle (59.91)- Emeka Brooks: 200 Yard Freestyle (2:03.81)- Tierra Horton: 200 Yard IM (2:28.71)- Ashley Mercier: 100 Yard Freestyle (1:07.22)OTHER NOTES:-
Seniors Ben Skelding and Trent Popovich both placed second in the 200 Yard Backstroke (2:06.37) and 200 Yard Butterfly (2:12.09), respectively

Marissa Gentry scored valuable points in the 50 Yard Freestyle (28.32) and 100 Yard Breastroke (1:21.88) respectively.
Howard will finish the regular season on Saturday, January 31 with a tri-meet against Manhattan College and the New Jersey Institute of Technology with NJIT serving as host in Newark, NJ. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
