LAS VEGAS, NV --- Howard men's soccer opened their two-game slate in UNLV's Johann Memorial Classic with a 5-0 loss to the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners on Friday evening.

Freshman forward Kyle Celestine led Howard (0-4) with a pair of shots with one on goal. Senior goalkeeper Eric Hamilton played all 90 minutes and stopped 11 shots, nearly surpassing his season total entering the game

Bakersfield (2-0) scored four goals in a span of 2:40 midway through the first half and added a fifth in the 84th minute.

The Bison will play the host Rebels on Sunday, September 7 at 4 p.m. Eastern Time.
