Box Score FAIRFAX, VA --- A trio of Howard women's volleyball outside hitters logged eight or more kills but the Lady Bison were unable to pull the upset against No. 24 American University, conceding a 3-1 decision to the Eagles on Day 2 of the DC Volleyball Challenge Saturday.

Freshman Khaila Donaldson posted double digit kills for the second straight match, posting 15 kills on the day. Sophomore Katherine Broussard had nine kills and senior Meagan Lagerlef had eight.

fter falling behind to the ranked Eagles 7-2 early in the first set, Howard engineered a 12-point swing to take the biggest lead of the set, 19-12, before holding off their ranked ooponents for a 25-19 win.

Unfortunately for Howard, American would settle in and won the next three sets, 25-13; 25-20; and 25-21.

For Howard, senior Stephanie Shultis had 35 assists while sophomore Morgan Marlbrough hit a game-high 21 digs.
