Gresham-Chisholm Earns Spot On 2014 CFPA Watch List

Howard's Damon Gresham-Chisholm earned a spot on the 2014 College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) FCS Awards Watch
List. A 6-3, 250-pound rising junior defensive end from Covington, GA, Gresham-Chisholm collected 38 tackles last season,
including 10.0 for losses and 3.5 sacks despite seeing double-teams every game.  In 2012, Gresham-Chisholm was named MEAC
Rookie of the Year and a first team all-conference selection after recording 41 tackles, including a whopping 18.0 for
losses to rank among the nation's best in the FCS.  He added three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries for good
measure.  He now has 28 tackles for losses and 8.5 sacks in his two-year career.  It marks the second straight year that
the talented defensive end has earned a spot on the Watch List.

"Congratulations to Damon Gresham-Chisholm on earning a spot on the 2014 CFPA Watch List," said CFPA Executive Director
Brad Smith. "With continued productivity in 2014, Gresham-Chisholm has considerable potential to become Howard's second
CFPA winner." Former Howard star Keith Pough earned the 2010 CFPA Elite Linebacker Award.

The initial watch list includes 38 defensive linemen, vying for the top defensive end and defensive tackle awards in
the Football Championship Subdivision. All players are eligible for awards at their respective positions; players are not
preemptively eliminated from consideration.

The goal of College Football Performance Awards is to provide the most scientifically rigorous conferment in college
football. Recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual
players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams.  Twenty-eight CFPA winners have been first-round NFL Draft
selections.

Last season, Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston earned the CFPA National Performer of the Year Trophy for the FBS,
while Eastern Washington quarterback Vernon Adams earned the CFPA FCS National Performer of the Year Trophy.  CFPA Trophy
winner and former South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was the first overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft.

The full list of 2014 CFPA winners will be announced January 14, 2015.
