GAME NOTESLIVE STATSAMES, IA --- The Howard women's basketball team will look to end its time competing in the Iowa State Cyclone Challenge on a high note as the Lady Bison take on Brown University in the tournament Consolation Game at 6 p.m. Eastern.
"STARTING FIVE" POINTS?- The last time Howard and Brown played, the Bears were the hosts of a holiday event. Howard fell to Brown, 65-61, on December 1, 2007 in the Bear Basketball Classic.
- Sophomore forward Sydni Johnson tied redshirt sophomore guard Te'Shya Heslip for the team lead in double-doubles against Iowa State, scoring 11 points and pulling down 10 rebounds vs the host Cyclones.
- Today's game will be the first that Howard has played with no players out due to injury.
- Heslip continues to lead Howard in all three major categories - scoring (15.2 PPG), rebounding (5.4 RPG) and assists (5.2 APG).
- The Lady Bison will conclude non-conference play on Wednesday, January 7 with a road contest against Cornell.
