NORFOLK, VA --- The Howard women's basketball team (0-6), in search of its first victory of the season, will play its first game since returning from California on Wednesday, December 3 when the Lady Bison take on the Old Dominion Monarchs at 11 a.m.
The early start time is in conjunction with ODU's "Education Day." The 4th annual Education Day game is an event tied in with the Norfolk Public Schools, when elementary schools throughout the local school system attend the game. This year's game - which marks the first-ever sellout for ODU in the Ted Constant Convention Center - anticipates more than 7,000 school children to attend, up from 6,300 last year, with 34 of 34 schools participating. Last year's attendance of 8,104 was the highest Lady Monarch attended game at the Ted, which opened in October of 2002. Capacity is 8,472 for women's games.
