Box Score BALTIMORE, MD --- The Howard volleyball team was able to play spolier on the road Friday as the Lady Bison defeateed the Morgan State Bears, 3-1.
The win was the 20th of the season for Howard (20-9, 8-3 MEAC) and denied the Bears (12-13, 7-5 MEAC) the chance to clinch an automatic berth in next week's MEAC Volleyball tournament on Senior Night.
HU also won the season series 2-1 against Morgan after Friday's triumph - Howard also defeated the Bears in a September non-conference match at the Providence Friars Classic.
Howard was led by junior outside hitter Meagan Lagerlef, who finished with a team-high 12 kills, while junior middle blocker Assata Conway tallied nine kills.
Freshman outside hitter Katherine Broussard had a team-high 12 digs and added eight kills, while junior setter Stephanie Shultis finished with 31 assists and eight kills on the evening. Junior libero Allyson Lods collected 10 digs.
The regular season will conclude for Howard on Sunday, November 10 with a final MEAC match against Coppin State in Baltimore. First serve is set for 1:00 pm.
