Box Score ORANGEBURG, SC --- The Howard University women's soccer team took to the road Friday afternoon for a matchup against South Carolina State University but was unable to return to the win column as the Bulldogs posted a 2-0 victory over the Lady Bison.
HU played SCSU to a scoreless tie in the first half by matching them in corner kicks and saves (2) while only falling behind in shots by two (6-4). However, the Bulldogs would strike early in the second half by turning a Brittany Rodriguez cross into a Janell Cash goal in the 48th minute. SCSU would add an insurance goal in the 71st minute on a Kaitlynn Cortez-to-Rhea Anne Currie connection.

Sydney Ross (2 shots) gave Howard the most chances to score, putting each of the five combined shots on goal.
Howard will play its next game on Monday, October 7 when the Lady Bison welcome USCAA member Washington Adventist University to Greene Stadium for a 7:00 PM match.
