Offensive Coordinator/ QBs Coach
Ted White is in his third season as the team’s offensive coordinator and quarter backs coach. White came to Howard from Southern University where he served as quarterbacks coach. During his time at Howard, White cemented his name in history, accumulatimg numerous accolades by setting several career records. White remains the MEAC and Howard all-time leading passer with 9,908 yards and still leads the conference and school in passing completions (638) and touchdowns (92). He set the MEAC record for a single-game best mark in passing yards with 561 and eight touchdowns on October 17, 1998 against MEAC rival Florida A&M.
 
In 1996 White was named the MEAC Player of the Year, MEAC Offensive Player of the Year and Black College Football Player of the Year. He also earned First Team Division I-AA All-America honors in 1996 and 1998 and was named the Pigskin Player of the Year award.
 
By the close of his collegiate career he notched 1,169 passing attempts and 9,845 total offensive yards––numbers that still leave him the MEAC and Howard all-time leader in total offense.  Following his ground breaking performances on the collegiate level, White played professionally for five years with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. White also had stints with the Barcelona Dragons of NFL Europe and the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. 
 
White gained valuable coaching experience early in his career as a quarterbacks coach for Texas Southern University in 2006-07 under his former head coach Steve Wilson. He gained additional experience interning with the Atlanta Falcons were he worked under the direction of quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave head coach Mike Smith, quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey. White assisted the league’s top-rated quarterbacks in Michael Vick and Matt Ryan.  He and his wife, Ladricca, have one daughter, Kelsey.
