In March 2024, Imani Hill joined Howard as an assistant strength and conditioning coach after a tenure at Hampton University, where she served as the Assistant Director of Sport Performance. While at Hampton, Hill was the primary strength and conditioning coach for the Pirates women's basketball, men's lacrosse and sailing teams, in addition to assisting with football and women's soccer.
Previously, Hill was a strength and conditioning coach at Wofford College, where she worked with women's lacrosse, women's volleyball and cheer. Hill also spent time as an intern at Temple University where she assisted with women's basketball and women's volleyball. She has worked as a sport performance coach at Vault Performance Center in Virginia Beach for lacrosse and field hockey athletes as well as a Little Laxers coach in Virginia Beach and Richmond.
Hill received a Master of Science degree in Biomechanics and Exercise Science from Auburn University in August 2021. She graduated Cum Laude from Delaware State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Movement Science and a minor in Psychology. Hill holds a USA Weightlifting-Level 1 certification and is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
While completing her M.S. at Auburn, Hill served as the head coach for the women's club lacrosse team from 2019-2021.
Athletically, Hill was a key contributor and tenacious attacker as a member of women’s lacrosse team at Delaware State from 2015 to 2019, earning multiple all-conference academic honors for maintaining a 4.0 grade point average.
