Howard FB Coaches Headshots 2025

Eric Miller

In 2024, Eric Miller joined the Howard University football team as an assistant wide receiver coach before being promoted to tight ends coach and quality control.

Before Howard, he was a wide receivers coach and assistant recruiting coordinator at Benedict College for one season (2021).

Prior to Benedict, Miller served one season at Georgia Military College (GMC) in Milledgeville, Ga.

Prior to GMC, he served two years (2007-08) as wide receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator at Kell High School in Marietta, Ga.

Before that, Miller served as the passing game coordinator for the Tucker Tigers, located just outside of Atlanta.

Before returning to Tucker High School, Miller spent two seasons coaching on the Division I level, coaching on both sides of the ball for FCS and Big South member, Presbyterian College. During his second season with the Blue Hose, Miller was in charge of molding a very young receiving corps, one that featured three freshmen. Prior to that, he spent one season working with the defensive line. In 2014, Miller helped PC to a 6-5 record, the program’s first winning season since 2007 and its first-ever in the Big South. The defense shut down foes and led to Blue Hose ranked wins over No. 12 Furman and No. 22 Charleston Southern, and the team's two road wins stand as the most since winning three in 2007.

Before coaching in college, Miller served his first stint with the Tucker program. In three seasons as an assistant at Tucker High School in Tucker, Ga., he worked with the defensive backs, wide receivers and special teams. He helped the Tigers to a cumulative 39-4 record, two undefeated regular seasons, two trips to the state championship game, including winning one in 2011. The 2013 squad also boasted a state-leading 32 interceptions and a DeKalb County-leading 39 turnovers. The 2011 team went undefeated for the first time in school history (15-0).

Miller played wide receiver at Princeton and Georgia State before graduating from LaGrange College (2008) with a bachelor’s degree in business management. He joined LaGrange while returning home to help his family and helped the Panthers to a conference championship and its first and only playoff berth.
