Howard University Athletics

In 2020, David Davis joined Howard University as the Director of Football Operations under the leadership of Larry Scott. In this role, David played a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the team's operations, contributing to the program's growth and success.

Prior to Howard University, Davis began his coaching career at his alma mater Richland Northeast H.S., where he spent three seasons. During his time, he guided the program multiple playoff runs.

His coaching journey then took him to the Florida where he served as a graduate assistant for two years. At Florida, he connected with Coach Scott, working primarily with the tight ends.

Davis, a native of Columbia, S.C., brings a robust background in both collegiate athletics and coaching to Howard.

Davis received a Master of Science Degree in Sport Management from the University of Florida and Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from South Carolina State University.

As an alum of South Carolina State, David was a member of the football team, contributing to multiple MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) championships and a prestigious Black College National Championship.
