Dameon Morgan

Morgan has played a key role in the continued rise of Howard’s cross country and track & field programs. Since joining the Bison, he has coached two Cross Country Athlete of the Meet honorees and two Track Athlete of the Meet honorees, helped guide the Howard women to the 2025 MEAC Cross Country Championship, and coached Camille Egbula to a historic milestone in the 800 meters as the first distance runner in program history to qualify for the NCAA First Round.

Prior to Howard, Morgan was a member of the coaching staff at Meridian Community College from 2018 to 2023, where he helped produce 15 All-Americans and two national champions.

A former standout middle-distance runner, Morgan competed collegiately from 2012 to 2016 at Rend Lake College and Ole Miss. He won two national championships at Rend Lake before going on to Ole Miss, where he became a two-time SEC finalist in the 800 meters, a three-time NCAA First Round qualifier, and a member of a championship distance medley relay team.
