KaPrice Williams was hired by Head Coach Marc Harrison as Howard's assistant cross country/track & field coach in the Fall of 2015.
Williams comes to HU with 5 years of experience as a Division I assistant coach and 2 years as a High School Head Coach. During her time at the University of Miami, Florida International University and Georgia State University, Williams assisted in coaching several All-Americans, conference champions and NCAA Qualifiers.
In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, Williams also served as a high school head coach, leading teams at prestigious Westminster Christian School in Palmetto Bay, Florida and Perry Street Preparatory School in Washington, DC. In fact, Williams was the the first coach to start a track and field program ever in Perry Street's track & field history and led the members of the team to state championship medals in its first season..
Williams' coaching success is due in part to her success as a collegiate athlete. She developed into an elite prospect out of Greenbelt, Md Eleanor Roosevelt High School in 2002 under famed coach Larry Colbert where she was ranked Number 1 in the nation in the sprints and earned full athletic scholarships to two universities during her collegiate career - Clemson University and the University of Central Florida where she competed at both and qualified for nationals in the 200 meter sprint.
Outside of her formal experience of coaching track, Williams is CEO of Physique Sculpted By Kaprice and is a well respected strength & speed coach in the Miami, Atlanta and DC areas. She has developed several post collegiate and professional athletes and collegiate football programs in a myriad of roles, including NFL Combine & Training Camp prep.
Williams earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UCF in 2006. She also has a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology from FIU and is certified by both the National Council on Strength & Fitness (NCSF) and USA Track & Field Level 2. Williams plans to begin work on a Doctorate degree while at Howard in January 2017.
