Bryce Bevill

In 2017, Bryce Bevill joined the Howard University Football staff as its Director of Football Operations after two seasons with the University of Maryland as their Director of Player Development (2015-17)

Bevill played collegiate football at Syracuse University where he received a Bachelor in Science degree (1995). That year, he signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) where he played three seasons. In 1996, he was nominated for the CFL’s Rookie of the Year as a defensive back. He also played a season with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

For several years, Bevill worked at DeMatha and later McNamara as Head Football Coach and Assistant Athletic Director. He was a talent scout for the British Columbia Lions, evaluating personnel at the Washington Redskins, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Buffalo Bills. Bevill has more than 19 years of experience in education supervising students and student-athletes of various ages. Prior to taking the job as the Director of Football Player Development at Maryland, he spent two years as the character coach for the Terps while serving as the Director of Campus Ministry for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Bevill is a 1990 graduate and member of the DeMatha High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
