NORFOLK, Va. (April 8, 2026) – The MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) revealed its women's track & field weekly accolades where Howard University All-American senior
Aniya Woodruff (Harrisburg, N.C.) took home the league's Track Athlete of the Week. The announcement came Wednesday afternoon.
At the annual Texas Relays (April 2-4), Woodruff ran a 58.15 time in the 400-meter hurdles, which is the second-fastest mark in the league and 27
th nationally.
Senior
Kelis Armstrong (Plano, Texas) earned honorable mention after finishing ninth overall in the long jump (5.75 meters), which ranks second in the MEAC.
Norfolk State freshman Emma Svetiev was named MEAC Field Athlete of the Week.
On April 11, HU and Gallaudet will be co-hosting the Bison Classic in D.C.
