NORFOLK, Va. (February 22, 2026) – Howard University women's bowling team earned three wins at the MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) No. 2 meet. The two-day (Feb. 21-22) event was hosted by Norfolk State (NSU) in Norfolk, Va.
After dropping the first two contests against Delaware State, 828-1,035, and Morgan State, 816-912, HU rebounded with a huge win over No. 21 UAB, 955-882. Howard followed up with another victory over Coppin State, 856-835; thus, finishing Day One with a 2-2 mark.
The following day (Feb. 22), HU knocked off NSU, 992-657, but fell to Maryland Eastern Shore, 834-917, and No. 12 North Carolina A&T State (NCAT), 979-1,045.
Before the tournament, Howard recognized three seniors for their hard work and dedication to the program:
Sydney Allison (Ypsilanti, Mich.);
Janae Pugh (Chicago) and
Cameren Sullivan (Chicago).
For the season, HU finished with a 6-8 mark in league play and locked up the No. 6 spot in the upcoming MEAC Tournament (March 20-22).
NCAT won the MEAC Regular Season title, securing the No. 1 seed at the conference tourney.
On Feb. 27-March 1, HU goes to Greensboro, N.C., for the annual Stallings Invitational, hosted by NCAT.
