NORFOLK, Va. (January 14, 2026) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its women's track & field team where Howard University saw a pair of Bison acknowledged for their outstanding efforts at the annual Rod McCravy Invitational, hosted by Kentucky. The announcement came Wednesday afternoon.
Graduate student
Marcia Sey (London, United Kingdom) won MEAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week while senior
Kelis Armstrong (Plano, Texas) grabbed the league's Field Athlete of the Week.
In Louisville, Sey ran a MEAC-best 8.20 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles, ranking 10
th in the nation.
For Armstrong, the Texas native finished 12
th overall in the triple jump after leaping 11.76 meters, which sits second in the MEAC.
On the men's side, DMV native sophomore
Drew Dillard (Silver Spring, Md.) received honorable mention after placing second in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking at a MEAC-best 7.91 seconds, which ranks 23
rd nationally.
Coppin State senior Cole Schlotterbeck was selected MEAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week while Delaware State senior Christopher Johnson earned the conference's Field Athlete of the Week honors.
On Jan. 17, HU goes to the Empire State for the annual HBCU Showcase.
