DOVER, Del. (February 23, 2025) — Howard University women's bowling team won a pair of matches during the MEAC's (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Meet No. 2, hosted by No. 22 Delaware State in Dover, Del.
Howard picked up both wins on the first day against Morgan State (954-867) and Norfolk State (906-696).
Cameren Sullivan (Chicago) and
Janae Pugh (Chicago) led the way in the victory over Morgan State, tallying scores of 257 and 185, respectively. Sullivan scored 1,394 total pinfalls throughout all seven matchups, which led the team.
Simone Ashford (Chicago) recorded 201 in a standout performance versus the Spartans.
Howard's closest loss came against the Hornets in a matchup that ended in a score of 891-900.
No. 10 North Carolina A&T State clinched the conference championship with their five wins throughout the weekend.
Howard's next showing will be at the Stallings invitational (Feb. 28-March 2), hosted by the Aggies in Greensboro, N.C.
