GENEVA, Ohio (February 19, 2025) – Howard University men's swimming & diving team leads after Day One of the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championships in Geneva, Ohio.
Howard tallied 145 points with a pair of victories, including a new meet record.
Graduate
Tristan Stevens (Chicago), seniors and
Darin Johnson (Atascocita, Texas) and
Erald Thompson III (Nassau, Bahamas) and junior
Taj Benton (Baltimore) won the 200 Medley Relay, clocking in a new conference benchmark (1:28.49).

Tai Afrik (Holland, Mich.), junior
Darien Williams (Philadelphia), sophomore
Mason Green (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and newcomer
Jalen Stewart (New Castle, Del.) took third after recording a 6:44.25 mark.
On the board, seniors
Zay Swilley (Bradley, Ill.) and
Jordan Walker (San Antonio) won gold (264.80) and bronze (246.25), respectively, in the 1-meter dive. Rookies
Zion Wilson (San Antonio) and
Bamidele Aina (Garland, Texas) also competed, claiming fourth (226.85) and sixth (196.30), respectively.
Le Moyne sits in second (102 points), followed by Wagner (93 points) and LIU (72 points).
The NEC Championships continues Thursday (Feb. 20) with prelims at 10 a.m., followed the final round at 6 p.m.
