WASHINGTON (February 13, 2025) – Howard University women's bowling team returns to action after month hiatus for the annual James Brown Invite, hosted by Morgan State University. The three-day event (Feb. 14-16) takes place in Fort Meade, Md.
LAST TIMEOUT
On Jan. 17-18, Howard competed in the Northeast Classic, hosted by Sacred Heart University, where they earned a victory Molloy in traditional play, 935-802.
Junior
Sydney Allison (Ypsilanti, Mich.) led the way, rolling a 227 against the Lions. Sophomores
Jewel Johnson (Harrisburg, Pa.) and
Simone Ashford (Chicago) contributed the win, tallying 194 and 189 total pinfalls, respectively.
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
Entering the weekend, HU (18-29) looks to build momentum before next week's MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Meet No. 2.
In Baker matches, the Bison are 9-12 overall.
In traditional play, Howard is 9-17, led by third-year Bison
Cameren Sullivan (Chicago), who is averaging 183.3 with 3,665 total pinfalls.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Feb. 22-23, HU heads to Dover, Del., for the MEAC Meet No. 2, hosted by Delaware State University.
