BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (November 5, 2025) – The NEC revealed its men's and women's swimming & diving weekly accolades where Howard University saw two freshmen recognized for their efforts against crosstown rival American Friday (Oct. 31). The announcement came Wednesday afternoon.

Kai Lawson (Bethesda, Md.) won NEC Men's Diver of the Week while
Alyssa Napier (Wilmington, Del.) took home Women's Rooke of the Week for the second time this season. Lawson finished runner-up in the 1-meter dive scoring 249.65 points while Napier won all three of her events: 100 Free (52.70); 200 Free (1:54.49) and 200 Free Relay.

Kaleb James (Durham, N.C.) were named to the NEC Prime Performers list.
Wagner College's (WC) Florain Shumich and Le Moyne College's (LMC) Owen Daniels earned Men's Swimmer of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
On the women's side, Sophie Milhomens (Central Connecticut State) and Mia Goodale (WC) shared Swimmer of the Week while Gabby Williams (LMC) claimed the league's Rookie of the Week.
Saturday (Nov. 8), HU travels to Baltimore for Tri-Meet against VMI and host UMBC. Match time is slated for 1 p.m.
