GWYNN OAK, Md. (November 16, 2025) – Howard University women's bowling team competed in the CSU Lady Eagles Invitational, hosted by rival Coppin State (CSU) University, in Gwynn Oak, Md.
Howard opened the weekend with a pair of victories in traditional competition. After falling to No. 14 Mount St. Mary's, 1,105-811, the Bison rebounded with an 807-531 win over St. Thomas. Later that day, HU topped Chestnut Hill, 798-670.
Junior
Jewel Johnson (Harrisburg, Pa.) led the way, tallying 844 total pinfalls (168.8 avg.) in five traditional matches.
Sunday (Nov. 16), the Bison competed in three Baker matches where they knocked off Chestnut Hill, 849-663. HU dropped the other two contests against St. Anslem, 942-760, and Bowie State, 863-827.
Later on, Howard fell in a pair of Baker best-of-seven matchups versus No. 12 Felician, 4-1, and Fayetteville State, 4.5-2.5.
On Jan. 16-18, HU returns to the lanes for the Northeast Classic, hosted by Sacred Heart University.
