WASHINGTON (October 30, 2025) – Howard University men's and women's swimming & diving teams prepare for their evening dual against American University Friday (Oct. 31). The meet is scheduled for 6 p.m., inside Burr Gym Pool.

MEN
 
Entering the meet, the men's team is coming off a second-place performance at the NJIT Invitational (Oct. 10-11), scoring 859.5 points during the two-day span.
 
Senior Taj Benton (Baltimore) led the Bison with a victory in the 50 Free, clocking in at
21.44. Third-year Bison Mason Green (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) also competed in the race, finishing behind the Baltimore native (21.47).
 
WOMEN
 
On the women's side, they are coming off a second-place performance at the Osprey Beach Blast Invitational (Oct. 10-11), collecting 970.5 points.
 
Senior Zuilda Nwaeze (Columbia, Md.) and junior Chanice Posada (Houston) led the way with two individual wins each. The two-time NEC Most Outstanding Performer won the 50 Free (23.65) and 100 Free (51.46) while the Houston native claimed victories in the 50 Back (25.73) and 200 Back (2:05.12).
 
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
 
Saturday (Nov. 8), the Bison head to Baltimore to compete in their first tri-meet of the season against VMI and UMBC.
