BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (October 15, 2025) – The NEC uncovered its men's and women's swimming & diving weekly awards where Howard University saw three Bison recognized. The announcement came Wednesday afternoon.
Junior
Chanice Posada (Houston) won NEC Women's Swimmer of the Week while newcomer
Alyssa Napier (Wilmington, Del.) claimed the league's Rookie of the Week. On the men's side, freshman
Solomon Goins (Dallas) took home the conference's Swimmer of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors.
Posada posted a 25.73 in the 50 Back and 25.14 in the 50 Fly, both CSCAA 'A' qualifying marks for the National Invitational Championships.
Napier continued the impressive start to her collegiate career, registering a CSCAA "A" cut qualifying time in the 50 Fly.
At the NJIT Invitational, Goins recorded a CSCAA "B" cut time of 16:42.32 in the 1650 Free.
Seniors
Taj Benton (Baltimore) and
Zuilda Nwaeze (Columbia, Md.) and third-year Bison
Mason Green (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) joined Goins, Napier and Posada on the NEC Prime Performers list.
Le Moyne's Adam Kaszovitz and Gabby Williams earned Men's and Women's Divers of the Week, respectively.
Friday (Oct. 31), the Bison come home to host American University in a dual meet at The Burr. First race is slated for 6 p.m.
