WASHINGTON (February 8, 2024) – Howard University women's bowling team returns to the lanes after nearly three weeks away for the annual Mount Shootout, hosted by No. 13 Mount St. Mary's (MSM). The three-day event (Feb. 9-11) takes place in Mount Joy, Pa.
LAST TIMEOUT
On Jan. 19-21, HU returned to action after nearly a two-month hiatus at the Northeast Classic, hosted by No. 17 Sacred Heart University (SHU).
Overall, the Bison bowled against four top 25 opponents, including No. 1 Jacksonville State. Howard grabbed a pair of wins, led by All-MEAC selection
Cameren Sullivan (Chicago). The Chicago native rolled a 164.4 average during five traditional matches, including a 177 versus Bryant.
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
This is The Mount's sixth time hosted the event.
Last season, HU picked up five wins during the tournament, including a victory over conference rival Coppin State.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Feb. 17-18, Howard travels to Norfolk, Va., for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Meet No. 2, hosted by Norfolk State University.
