GENEVA, Ohio (February 22, 2024) – Howard University men's and women's swimming & diving team continues to create separation at the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championships.
After three days of competition, HU holds the lead with a 58.5 advantage over second-place Wagner.

Arion Solomon (Fairburn, Ga.) and seniors
Spencer Miles (Lynchburg, Ga.) and
Tristan Stevens (Chicago) and sophomore
Taj Benton (Baltimore) highlighted Day Three with a victory in the 200 Free Relay, clocking in at 1:21.09. The time ranks second in program history.
Individually, Benton competed in the 100 Fly where his 48.05 time took home silver and top the Howard record books. Stevens time of 48.88 lands fourth in the program.

Luke-Kennedy Thompson (Nassau, Bahamas) opened the night with a third-place finish in the 400 IM (4:01.38) while third-year Bison
Tai Afrik (Holland, Mich.) claimed the bronze medal in the 200 Free (1:41.08). Other notable performances in the 400 IM were Erald Thompson whose time of 4:06.58 is second all time in program history while
Niles Rankin's 4:11.83 comes in at third.
On the board, junior
Jordan Walker (San Antonio, Texas) finished second overall in the 1-meter dive with a score of 255.90 marking a new HU record.
HU continues competition Friday (Feb. 22) with prelims at 10 a.m., followed by the final round at 6 p.m.
