NORFOLK, Va. (November 4, 2024) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) unveiled its football weekly honors where Howard University saw a pair of Bison recognized for their incredible performances Saturday (Nov. 2) against Delaware State (DSU). The announcement came Monday.

Ja'Shawn Scroggins (Las Vegas) won MEAC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season while senior defensive back
Robert Jones III (Fairwood, Md.) claimed Defensive Player of the Week.
Scroggins accounted 364 yards of total offense with five total TDs en route to 38-0 victory over DSU. The Las Vegas native completed 24-of-41 for 304 passing yards and four touchdowns while running for 60 yards on the ground and one TD.
Jones locked down Hornet receivers all day with two INTs and two pass breakups. Overall, the Bison defense held DSU to only 116 yards of total offense.
Morgan State kicker Sahr Gbundema was named MEAC Rookie of the Week. South Carolina State's Cam Johnson and Kyle Gallegos earned Offensive Lineman and Specialist of the Week honors, respectively.
Howard closes out the home schedule Saturday (Nov. 9) when it hosts the Bulldogs of South Carolina State. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
