GWYNN OAK, Md. (November 17, 2024) - Howard University women's bowling team competed in Gwynn Oak, Md, at the Coppin State University (CSU) Lady Eagles Invitational where the Lady Bison finished fifth overall.

The Lady Bison finished Day One (Nov. 16) with a 2-3 record in traditional play, defeating Caldwell, 962-829, and Saint Anselm College (SAC), 896-833.

Day One, junior
Sydney Allison (Ypsilanti, Mich.) led the team in total pinfalls with 963, averaging 192.6 in five traditional matches. In the victory over Caldwell, the Michigan native rolled a 204.

Fellow classmate
Cameren Sullivan (Chicago) also had a solid outing during traditional play, knocking down 930 pins (186.0 average) in five contests.

Day Two, the Bison competed in four Baker matches against SAC, Dominican (N.Y.), Belmont Abbey College (BAC) and last year's CSU Lady Eagle Invite winner Felician.

Howard went 1-1 in Baker play, defeating Dominican, 1,017-975. In Baker Best-of-Seven, HU knocked off SAC and BAC in six games.

In the match versus Dominican, HU finished with the highest Baker match score in the tournament (1,017), reaching 1,000 for the first time this season.

Up next, the team travels to New Castle, N.J., for the Northeast Classic Tournament (Jan. 17-19), hosted by Sacred Heart University.
