Bowling Takes Third at the Virginia Union Invite

Sullivan earned second place in traditional play

WASHINGTON (October 27, 2024) – Howard University women's bowling team placed third overall at the Virginia Union University (VUU) Invitational (Oct. 25-27), hosted by the Panthers.
 
Junior Cameren Sullivan (Chicago) was a frontrunner in the competition despite missing Day One, finishing second overall in traditional play with a grand pinfall of 946 (189.2 per match).
 
The Lady Bison finished Day One (Oct. 25) with a record of 2-2, dominating Norfolk State (NSU), 851-753, and Virginia State, 720-556.
 
The next day (Oct. 26), HU destroyed the lanes, finishing a perfect 5-0, including victories over conference rivals NSU, 852-769, and Coppin State (CSU), 817-747.
 
On Oct. 27, Howard closed the weekend out in the same manner, topping NSU, VUU and CSU in Baker seven matchups.
 
The Bison will roll down to Greensboro, N.C. (Nov. 9-10) for the team's first MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Tournament this season, hosted by No. 6 North Carolina A&T State.
