COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 12, 2023) – In June, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) unveiled its Spring Scholar All-America Team where Howard University men's & women's programs were recognized for their academic excellence during the 2023 spring semester.
 
HU women made the cut for the ninth consecutive semester, dating back to spring 2019.
 
"I'm incredibly proud of our teams," said Howard Director of Swimming & Diving Nicholas Askew. "Our young men and women have demonstrated that you can be successful in competition and in the classroom. They exemplify a Howard University student-athlete."
 
In the spring semester, the men and women posted 3.32 and 3.42 grade point averages (GPAs), respectively, with 48 total Bison making the team.
 
Overall, 17,497 student-athletes from 718 teams earned the honor.
 
Coach Askew and the men's team look to repeat as Northeast Conference Champion while the women's squad seeks its first league title in program history.
