NEW CASTLE, Del. (February 5, 2023) – Howard University women's bowling team was unable to find its rhythm on the final day of the Griffin Classic, hosted by Chestnut Hill College.
HU wrapped up the weekend with a 1-4 mark on Day Two.
Howard dropped all four Baker matches to Wagner (920-877), Chestnut Hill (884-725), Roberts Wesleyan (985-762) and Caldwell (850-778).
In the Baker best-of-seven matchup against Felician, the Bison finished strong with a 4-0 sweep (764-635).
Overall, HU finished 17
th in the standings after going 3-7 during the two-day tourney.
No. 18 Mercyhurst won the event, sweeping No. 13 Delaware State in four games.
On Feb. 10-12, HU travels to nearby Towson, Md., for the James Brown Invitational, hosted by Morgan State University.
