NEW ORLEANS (February 25, 2023) – Bison wideout Antoine Murray (Miramar, Fla.) represented Howard University in the second annual HBCU Legacy Bowl, held at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans. The event was broadcasted live on NFL Network.
 
The HBCU Legacy Bowl consisted of the best HBCU draft-eligible players to showcase their talents in front of a national stage and NFL scouts. Outside of just the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), players also came from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) and Colonial Athletic Association (CAA).
 
Playing on Team Gaither, Murray was one of 12 players selected to play in the game from the MEAC and the only player from HU. Team Gaither fell short to Team Robinson, 10-3.
 
"I'm the only Howard guy out here," said Murray before the game. "I wish all the Howard guys make it out here, but I made friends with guys on the other MEAC teams and it was great overall."
 
During the game, Murray had three targets and made all three opportunities count with receptions, including back-to-back in the fourth quarter.
 
"It was pretty awesome atmosphere," Murray stated postgame. "Getting those receptions showed that I can catch and make something happen."
 
In conjunction with the Legacy Bowl, the New Orleans Saints held a Career Fair that took place Thursday (Feb.23) and Friday (Feb. 24), where the Bowl players got a chance to network and make connections, in an effort to launch their careers off of the field as well.
 
Murray has declared for the 2023 NFL Draft.
