WASHINGTON (February 23, 2023) – Howard University women's bowling team closes out the regular season in Greensboro, N.C., for the annual Stallings Invitational, hosted by North Carolina A&T State University (NCAT).
The three-day tournament (Feb. 24-26) takes place at Triad Lanes (21 Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407). Friday's start time is 9:45 a.m. Saturday commences at 9:25 a.m. and Sunday begins at 8:30 a.m.
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
HU enters the weekend looking to finish the regular season on a high note.
Friday (Feb. 24), the Bison are set to compete in five (5) Baker matches. Howard squares off against Tusculum, Coppin State, No. 9 Sam Houston State, No. 2 Vanderbilt and No. 10 Maryland Eastern Shore.
Saturday's (Feb. 25) schedule features five (5) traditional contests versus No. 21 Lincoln Memorial, No. 22 Tulane, Norfolk State, No. 16 Delaware State and Belmont Abbey.
Sunday's (Feb. 26) action wraps up the weekend with three (3) best-of-seven Baker matches, based on total pin standings from qualifying rounds.
LAST TIMEOUT
On Feb. 18-19, the Bison came away empty at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Meet No. 2, hosted by NCAT.
During the two-day tourney, HU dropped all eight traditional conference matches. As a result, the Bison finished league play 1-15 and will miss the MEAC Tournament.

Freshman standout
Cameren Sullivan (Chicago) looks to wrap up her first season in style. The Chicago product leads the Bison in traditional play, averaging 177.0 pinfall. This season, she has accumulated 6,019 pinfalls in 34 matches with a career-high 247 game against Norfolk State last weekend (Feb. 19).
