NORFOLK, Va. (December 22, 2023) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its 2023 Football All-Academic Team where Howard University had a league-leading 42 Bison on the squad. The announcement came Friday morning.
The student-athletes acknowledged were sophomores, juniors and seniors with cumulative grade point averages of 3.0 or above. All-Academic accolades also recognize transfer student-athletes who have represented a conference institution for at least one year.
"Congratulations to our football student-athletes for maintaining a 3.0 or better grade point average," MEAC Commissioner
Sonja Stills said. "While so much attention is paid to what happens on the field and who hoists the trophy at the end of the season, it's the work in the classroom, the efforts toward earning a degree, that exemplify what it means to be a student-athlete. These young men are to be commended and celebrated."

Overall, the MEAC honored 176 student-athletes from its six football-playing institutions who achieved academic success during the 2022-23 academic year.
Howard finished the 2023 campaign 6-6 (4-1 MEAC), winning back-to-back MEAC titles while earning its first-ever berth to the Cricket Celebration Bowl.
