WASHINGTON (January 17, 2020) – After a week away, the Howard University men's and women's swimming & diving squads return to the pool for their final home meet of the season against Marymount. First race is set for 2 p.m. inside Burr Pool.

On Jan. 4, both clubs fell on the road at UMBC.
The men's team opened dropped a tough 129-135 loss against the Retrievers. Freshman
Luke-Kennedy Thompson (Nassau, Bahamas) recorded the program's sixth-fastest time in the men's 1650 Free, clocking in at 17:22.53.
For the women, they suffered a 120-134 setback. Second-year swimmer
Madison Freeland (Glenside, Pa.) led the way, producing the program's fourth-best time in the women's 1650 Free (19:01.10).
MEET PREVIEW
HOWARD
HU enters the weekend looking to get back on track while sending their six seniors out on a high note. The six Bison competing in their final home meet include
Kegan Ford (Port-of-Spain, Trinidad & Tobago),
Leanne McMaster (Kingston, Jamaica),
Noah Nicholas (Stone Mountain, Ga.),
Maalik Nixon (Peachtree City, Ga.),
Skylar Smith (Los Angeles) and
Andreas Weech (Nassau, Bahamas).
On the season, Howard men are 4-2 overall (3-1 home) while the Bison women are 2-4 (1-3 home).
MARYMOUNT
Marymount comes to The District nearly two months away from competition. Both squads have not seen action since the Yellow Jacket Invitational (Nov. 23-24).
In duel meets, the men are 4-3 overall where the women are 3-4 on the season.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Saturday (Jan. 25), Howard travels crosstown to face Catholic in a District showdown. Meet time is set for 2 p.m.
