MURFREESBORO, N.C. (October 19, 2019) – Howard University men's swim team downed Chowan, 166-85, and improved to 2-0 on the young season.
Overall, HU won 11 events (10 individual and one relay).
The 200 Free Relay squad of junior
Kegan Ford (Port-of-Spain, Trinidad & Tobago) and freshmen
Miles Simon (Atlanta),
Nikolas Sylvester (St. Vincent and the Grenadines) and
Luke-Kennedy Thompson (Nassau, Bahamas) capped off the afternoon with a victory, clocking in at 1:38.30.
Individually, Simon claimed first in the men's 200 Free (2:01.40) while Thompson finished first in the 800 Free (8:54.67).
Newcomer
Kevin Claiborne (Queens, N.Y.) notched a pair of wins in the 50 Fly (27.65) and 50 Back (28.78).

Saturday (Oct. 26), Howard returns to The Hilltop where they will begin a three-meet home stand against Mary Washington. Meet time is slated for 1 p.m. inside Burr Gym Pool.
