WASHINGTON (January 25, 2019) – After postponing last weekend's meet in New Jersey due to inclement weather, the Howard University men's & women's swimming & diving teams return to Burr Pool for their final home meet of the season when they host crosstown foe Catholic. First race starts 1 p.m. and admission is FREE.
LAST MEET
On Jan. 12, the Bison took third overall in a multi-team competition, hosted by Old Dominion (ODU).
HU men fell to the Monarchs, 182-93, and Virginia Military Institute (VMI), 171-113, but the Howard women took down the VMI, 136-104. The women also came up short against ODU, 216-71, and Campbell, 214-55.
Senior
Farion Cooper II (Nassau, Bahamas) and sophomore
Christian Nickolas (Brentwood, Calif.) led the way for HU.
Cooper recorded season bests in the men's 100 (54.91) and 200 (2:01.17) Backstrokes while Nickolas continued her dominance in the women's 1-meter (218.25) and 3-meter (213.65) dives with two victories.

Saturday's meet features 10 Bison competing in their final home meet at The Hilltop. This year's seniors include Cooper,

Mark McCluskey (Hope, Maine) and
Latroya Pina (Seeknok, Mass.).

UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Feb. 20-23, Howard goes to Lynchburg, Va. for the 2019 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Championships.
