Ron Davis and the Howard University Women's Bowling team sit 25
th after going 1-4 on day two of the Columbia 300 Music City Classic, hosted by Vanderbilt.
Freshman anchor
Carolyn Williams continues to dominate the lanes, posting a 196 average with three outstanding 200-games. As a result, she landed herself 31
st out of 161 bowlers in traditional play.
Sophomore
Tea Lewis averaged a 180.80, including two 200-performances.
Howard opened traditional competition with McKendree where they took a close loss, 954-966. Then, the Bison suffered three consecutive defeats versus Wisconsin Whitewater 849- 987, Youngstown State, 857-907, and Sam Houston State University (SHSU), 911-977.
HU ended the day on a high note, edging out the Southern Jaguars, 866-736.
Seniors
Kristyn Mitchell and
Sydney Reece both participated in three matches apiece. Mitchell averaged a 182 while Reece recorded a 187 with a tremendous 222 game against SHSU.
Howard continues the weekend with three best of seven baker matches, starting with Texas Southern. Tomorrow's match begins 8:30 a.m. at the Smyrna Center.
