LEXINGTON, Va. (October 13, 2018) – A day after competing at American, the Howard University Men's Swim team went to Lexington, Va. where they placed third overall.
HU fell against VMI, 157.50-75.50, and then lost to Barton, 120-93.
Individually, sophomore
Kegan Ford (Port-of-Spain, Trinidad & Tobago) led the way with two victories in the men's 50 free (21.96) and 100 free (48.47).
Fellow classmate
William Speakman Smith II (Jacksonville, Fla.) had a pair of top 3 performances in the 200-yard freestyle (3
rd-place; 1:46.56) and 200-yard breaststroke (2
nd-place; 2:15.25).

Alexander Barnes (Rockledge, Fla.),
Farion Cooper II (Nassau, Bahamas) and
Mark McCluskey (Hope, Maine), alongside newcomer
Miguel Davis, Jr. (Prince George's County, Md.) won with a time 1:38.24.
