BALTIMORE (January 6, 2018) – Coach
Nicholas Askew and the Howard University Men's Swimming & Diving team competed at UMBC to start the 2018 year.
Sophomore
Sidrell Williams earned the team's Golden Goggle, HU's most outstanding male performer of the meet, after winning the men's 50-yard freestyle with a 21.78 mark.
Junior
Farion Cooper placed third in the men's 100-yard breaststroke while fellow classmate Jon Hill finished runner-up in the men's 200-yard individual medley.
In the final event, Cooper, Williams and freshman
Kegan Ford took third in the men's 400-yard freestyle relay.
Saturday (Jan. 13), the men host New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) on Youth Day. Meet time is set for 1 p.m.
A week later (Jan. 19), both squads square off against Marymount on Senior Night. The action begins 6 p.m. inside Burr Pool.
