MILLSBORO, Del. (December 2, 2017) – Coach
Ron Davis and the Howard University Women's Bowling team stand fourth at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Northern Division Meet No. 2, hosted by Maryland Eastern Shore.
Day One consisted of traditional matches where the Bison went 1-3 overall.
Sophomore Téa Lewis and senior
Kristyn Mitchell each finished in the top 10. Lewis averaged a 169.25 in five matches, including a 181 in the victory over Morgan State, while Mitchell rolled a 168.75 with a match-high coming in the loss against Maryland Eastern Shore (193).
HU opened the day with a 905-750 loss versus Delaware State (DSU). Howard rebounded and knocked off Morgan State, 856-802.
Howard closed out the day with a pair of losses against Maryland Eastern Shore, 911-868, and Coppin State, 793-767.
Newcomer
Carolyn Williams and junior
Shykeia Spinks took 15
th and 16
th, respectively. Spinks had the best game of the day, rolling a 194 versus the Hawks.
HU wraps up the MEAC Northern Division Meet No. 2 with Baker matches. Start time is set for 9 a.m.
