Damon Gresham-Chisholm has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week following his outstanding performance in Saturday's loss to South Carolina State. a 6-3, 249-pound freshman defensive end from Covington, GA, collected a career-high 12 tackles, 11 of them unassisted, with a career-high and conference single-season best 6.0 tackles for a loss of 24 yards. Gresham-Chisholm ranks 11th in the FCS Division in tackles for losses and is the highest rated freshman in that category.
Julien David was also cited for honorable mention after tallying 13 tackles, 10 of them solos, with 1.5 for a loss of six yards and 0.5 sacks for a five-yard loss against South Carolina State. A junior safety from Coral Springs, FL, David ranks 12 in the country in total tackles and 11th in solos.
Terrence Leffall received honorable mention after he rushed for a game-high 127 yards, on 24 carries, with two touchdowns in a loss to South Carolina State. Leffall, a 5-10, 210-pound senior running back from Stone Mountain, GA, has rushed for over 100 yards in each of the four games in which he has played this season and reached the century mark in seven of the last eight games he has played dating back to last season.
