WASHINGTON, D.C. - Sarah Schermerhorn is in her first season with the Howard Women's Lacrosse program. She came to HU after serving as the Head Lacrosse Coach just down the road at Trinity University in DC.
In Just one season with the Trinity Tigers Schermerhorn made a big impact in the offensive end quintupling the number of goals from just one season prior.
Schermerhorn also serves as Director of Player Development and Coaching for Cardinal Lacrosse an Elite club travel lacrosse team in Northern Virginia. In addition to her position as Director she also is the Head Coach of two teams within the organization the 2016 Red team and The U15 National team that competes in the US Lacrosse National Championship each year. Last year Schermerhorn's National team finished 4th overall in the Nation.
Schermerhorn was a standout four year varsity lacrosse player at the Gunnery School in Connecticut, where in her junior year she scored 100 goals and was selected as an All-American. Sarah then went on to play at Vanderbilt University.
A Northern Virginia native Schermerhorn is also the proud mother of three budding lacrosse players.
