SOMERSET, N.J. (October 10, 2022) – The Northeast Conference (NEC) revealed its men's soccer weekly accolades where Howard University sophomore
Bryson Baker (Ellicott City, Md.) received the league's top honor. The announcement came Monday afternoon.
The Maryland native earned NEC Player of the Week after tallying a pair of goals against reigning conference champions LIU Sunday (Oct. 9). Baker tied the game at 1-1 in the first half after tucking home a break away opportunity. In the 69
th minute, he gave the Bison a 2-1 lead after converting a penalty kick.
HU tied with LIU, 2-2, and currently sits 1-1-1 in league play.
Overall, Baker ranks third in the league with five goals and fourth with 1.11 goals per match.
Saint Francis (Pa.) freshman goalkeeper Jordaine Jaeger took home NEC Rookie of the Week.
Howard begins a brief two-match road trip to the Northeast part of the country, beginning Thursday (Oct. 13) at Stonehill College. Match time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
