Cross Country’s Next Challenge At Cappy Anderson Invitational

Oliver, Bison goes across the bridge at Maryland Eastern Shore

WASHINGTON (September 22, 2017) – Coach David Oliver and the Howard Men's & Women's Cross Country teams travel across the bridge to Princess Anne, Md. for the  Maryland Eastern Shore Cappy Anderson Invitational.
 
The women's race begins 10:30 a.m., followed by the men approximately 11:15 a.m.
 
LAST TIMEOUT
 
Saturday, the Bison took part in the Delaware Invitational where the men placed fifth while the ladies finished sixth overall.
 
Mohamed Bah led the men with a third-place finish, posting a 27:54.2 in the 8k race.
 
On the women's side, freshman Destiny Stanford took third overall after recording a 24:17.9 mark in the 6k meet.
 
RACE PREVIEW
 
For the men, Bah looks to continue his strong start after finishing in the top five twice. Malik Kosanovich searches for his second top 10 finish as well.
 
After missing the first race in Delaware, Stanford came away with a top five finish. Feven Fessehatzion looks to rebound with another five top performance of her own.
 
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
 
HU returns to action Oct. 7 when they travel back to Smyrna, Del. for the DSU Pre-Conference Run. First race begins 10 a.m.
