WASHINGTON, D.C. - Bison keeper Chanel Bell had 12 saves but it was not enough as Howard fell 8-0 to visiting San Jose State Sunday afternoon at Greene Stadium.

Freshman Jordan Brown had three shot attempts for Howard, two of which were on goal. Cheyra Bell contributed a pair of shot attempts while Rachael Lee and Briana Gamble added one shot each.

HU relinquished four goals in the first half before giving up four more in the second stanza.

Emmy Belding led the Spartans with three goals. Katie Knopp posted two goals and Roxy Kamal had two assists for San Jose State (2-4)

Howard (0-5-1) returns to action next Sun., Sept. 20 against St. Francis (Pa). Game time in Loretto, Pa. is slated for 2 pm.
