WASHINGTON, DC --- The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) released its 2015 Softball All-Conference honors this afternoon and Howard redshirt junior Al'Asia Davis has been named to the All-MEAC First Team.

The native of Seattle, WA and Howard's primary leadoff hitter has been the Lady Bison's most consistent force all season. Heading into this week's MEAC Tournament - which Howard will be competing in for the first time since 2011 - Davis ranks in the top five in the MEAC in the following categories:

- RBI (45; first)
- Doubles (17; first)
- Batting average (.443, second)
- Hits (54; second)
- OBP (.547; second)
- Walks (20; 4th)

Davis also set the MEAC's high mark for runs scored in a game when she came across five times in Howard's non-conference victory over Elizabeth City State University on March 17.

Davis and the Lady Bison finished fourth in the MEAC Northern Division and will look to earn their first MEAC Softball Tournament title since 2007 when they open play against Southern Division champion Savannah State on Thursday, May 7 at 10 a.m.
