WASHINGTON, DC --- The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) has named Women's Soccer senior defender Treschelle Gibson-Serrette as their Offensive Athlete of the Week, the league office announced today.

The 5-4 tri-captain from Toronto started both games during the past week and played exceptionally well in the Lady Bison's last game at home against East Tennessee State.

Gibson-Serrette scored her first two goals of the season to help Howard stay close to ETSU before the Bucs slipped past the Lady Bison in the last minutes of the game.

The honor is the second given to Howard by the SWAC in their inaugural season. Senior Nia Walcott earned Offensive Athlete of the Week honors on August 26.
